SPECTATOR SAFETY

The Lookout Stages Rally is organised by Trackrod Motor Club and is not a designated spectator event; however, the rally organisers recognise that family and friends of competing crews may wish to visit the event in order to spectate.

In accordance with the MSA Stage Rally Safety Requirements, the event organisers have reviewed spectator arrangements and have provided two designated areas for spectators. Should any spectator (defined as someone not wearing a marshal’s tabard or appropriate identification) be observed outside of these areas, they will be approached and politely asked to return to a designated area. If they do not comply, the Stage Commander will be informed and, if required, the stage stopped until the situation is resolved.

Appropriate signage will direct spectators to a single designated venue entrance, notices prohibiting access will be erected at all other entrances.

Spectators will be allowed to drive their vehicles via an arrowed route, set out by the rally organisers, leading to the central area before 8am on the morning of the rally (car parking spaces will be available within the trailer park).

Once located within the central area spectators will be able to gain access to the designated viewing points (see Venue Plan) and facilities such as toilets and catering. Spectator’s wishing to leave the venue before the last stage will be allowed to leave the central area in an escorted convoy at the discretion of the rally organisers. As a guide, spectators are usually permitted to leave the central area between stages 4 & 5 and between stages 6 & 7 by means of an escorted vehicle convoy VIA ALTERNATIVE VENUE EXIT ONLY. NO PEDESTRIANS

For spectators not wishing to access the central area or those arriving after 8am parking and spectating area (see Venue Plan) will be provided adjacent to the venue entrance.
